Authenticity seems to be the word of the moment, at least on Radio National where I was listening to Counterpoint discussing the concept around a book on authenticity in rock. The interview talked about the Monkeys suggesting that the Monkeys actually had more authenticity when they were just actors pretending to be a band [...]
