Fear of TV
It’s a bit stale but in this article, Bruce Schneier talks back on why media coverage of terrorism and crime is important even though it can increase fear disproportionatley to the risk and perhaps may have helped bring in laws that restrict privacy and liberty or contributed to approval of a needless invasion of iraq.
